A four-star in 2014, Canteen chose Michigan over schools like Rutgers and Syracuse and quickly saw the field for the Wolverines, playing in 10 games and catching five passes in 2014. But it turned out that would be the peak of his team in Ann Arbor as multiple injuries limited his playing time in 2015 and caused him to miss the entire 2016 season. After initially looking like he was headed to FAU, Canteen instead transferred to Notre Dame, where he will have two seasons of eligibility and is expected to compete for playing time in 2017.
