Just wondering, because it seems that there are a ton of DTs that Michigan is recruiting, and I'm wondering what the class (I know that there's a lot of time until signing day) might be shaping up to be. How many will we take ?

It's pretty clear to me that we are "in the mix" for Walter Nolen ("The Big Fish"), but I think that, barring a very good/great season, his signing with Michigan is a dream.

Deon Walker looks like a strong lean, so he would be on my list of best bets to end up in the class. He's a good start.

Then there's this amorphous group of DTs some who Michigan showed interest in, and others who had some interest- How would these guys rank as far as likelihood of being in the class? Are some of these guys on the back burner for others? How many will we take?

Recently we have read about these two:

I hate the idea of being a placeholder for Alabama (Perry)...Even if he signs with Michigan, that kid may be a great season away from being a transfer portal casualty if he wants to go back home.
Shepard is a DT I have always wondered why we didn't recruit more aggressively from the beginning- An Ohio kid with hopefully a chip on his shoulder (I'm thinking Willie Henry).

As these two guys have similar body types would we take both, assuming Walker commits? I'd hope so (more bodies= more competition= more chances to find good and great players).

Then there is the "forgotten man":
Is he on the "back burner"? He's awfully big; Is he overweight? Is he a tough pull from the South?

Then there are these guys, who I may or may not have missed updates on- Not sure if we have missed the top group for these recruits (I think that I read this about Finkley) or maybe things have just "cooled" as they often do for no darn reason...

Will this guy remain in the class?

The there's this guy:

Just kidding...just kidding 😁 😂
