their first two tourney games but found a way to win and really played hard all 3 games.
That being said, I hope UM makes the tourney but as I have said before, if you are the 7th best team in your conference then you don't have a right to complain if you don't make the tournament. Don't like it then go to a 2nd tier conference.
UM had their tourney chance...the Big Ten tourney. If UM was #5 then we wouldn't be having this conversation. I understand all the variables but I don't think the 7th best team in a conference should necessarily be rewarded. I think the more important thing going forward is that John Beilein (heck of a coach) needs to recognize changes need to be implemented in his program such as not having a PF play center and a small forward play the #4. Too too small.
Changes only took place when people are forced to see them. Let me give you an example which sort of ticked me off today. UM comes out and gets hammered early in the start of the 1st and 2nd half. Why?...the matchup was horrible. After 3-4 minutes then some substitutions take place to offset the hole that was dug.
Don't believe me...watch it again. I give JB credit for going out and getting Teske and Davis who MAY be an upgrade but JB is somewhat delusional when dealing with teams like Purdue and Iowa who just exploited the size of UM upfront.
