The beginning of the 3rd quarter of ‘93 Rose Bowl vs UW down 4. As a kid having nightmares of 92 as we were down 4 and it seemed momentum had swung their way. We all knew we were good but the Huskies just seemed faster and more athletic and everything we were not. And then Grbac drops back and gives another draw (which UW could never stop) and Wheatley explodes for almost 90 yards...Never seen anyone in the Winged helmet so fast. Musberger says ‘Wheatley explodes’ and then you hear Vermeil say the equivalent of ‘holy shit!’ I knew then we were going to win. What an incredible athlete and home run back was Super 6. The best we’ve ever had at going the distance and getting his own. Just draw-dropping awesome. And that team had Toomer and Alexander together at wideout ?? Moeller called an awesome game.
