In honor of kickoff on Saturday and perhaps to help us relax until then, I propose we each list our 3 or 5 favorite football movies.
Here are mine:
1. The Longest Yard (original, not crappy Adam Sandler remake)
2. Brian's Song (original, not crappy remake)
3. Horse Feathers (the Marx Brothers)
4. Remember the Titans
5. Jerry Maguire
I refused to even consider Rudy or the Knute Rockne story on purely I hate Notre Dame grounds. I considered but ultimately passed on Paper Lion because it made the Lions look like a decent organization. Considered The Big Chill because it had footage of a UM/Sparty football game, but passed since it really isn't a football movie.
