Interesting dynamic to look at in college hoops now. For a period of time it appeared as though the teams like Kentucky, Duke, the one-and-dones were starting to take over ..

however ...

I think that has now flipped ... I believe now you need an extremely experienced roster to be a champion.... the last few champions, Virginia and Baylor specifically, have been junior/senior laden teams .. older guys with experience and toughness ... meanwhile the high end recruiting classes (Duke, Kentucky, etc) have struggled .. nowhere close to championship level ..

I really believe that was why we were so good this year ... just an incredibly old team with experience ... Gonzaga (outside of 2 guys) an older team .. Baylor, Houston, UCLA, Michigan, Illinois, etc ... all these elite teams this year were older ...

so my point ... I believe a perfect roster has 1-2 high end freshmen with 5-6 experienced guys .. thats the championship blue print for me ...

so with Chaundee and Mike leaving, I think it actually lowers our ceiling for next year because I believe we have awesome freshmen coming in, but if we are relying on 3-4-5 of those guys to start and play I think that puts a cap on how good we can be ... I think we'll be a really good tournament level team, but probably not a title team unless we land some older transfers ...

thoughts?
