Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to Saturday night - seeing my brother again, watching Michigan beat MSU....
But next weekend, my son's hockey team takes the ice for the first time in the 2017-18 season.
Last year his line led the team in points and goals. This year, he will be playing with two new line mates - twins. And the three of them have been inside of each others' heads on the ice, leading to some incredible passing and scoring in scrimmages. The twins have started calling him their triplet.
Next Sunday they get to play on the home ice of the Quad Cities Mallards of the ECHL.
