UM is the favorite to win the Big Ten. He said "the Big Ten Title goes through Ann Arbor". Now he can back down and say he simply means that UM has the top two contenders at home, thus has a chance to do some great things but the phrase above often refers to a belief that where one is going "through" is the favorite to win a division/conference.
This defense could be incredibly special, like 2006 and 1997 special but the overall package has to still be considered in doubt, doesn't it?
My two biggest concerns.
The OL is better but even on Smith's 60 yard run, which was close to 25% of our rushing yards, the OL got stuffed. Smith just made a great play. In addition, BYU had 8 TFLs yesterday. Not good. \\
The intermediate to long passing game is still terribly ineffective, if not still nonexistent. If this doesn't change soon, teams with very good defenses could have too easy a time with us.
