And since Szabo's impact was most noticeable in year 2 . . . Wow.

McElwain also deserves big props, as does Chris Partridge.

It's hard to think of a position group that either hasn't sustained success at a high level (e.g. Mattison's DL, Zordich's corners, etc.) or that hasn't improved in at least one significant regard (Jay's RBs, with one notable exception, are good at pass-blocking now).

And the hypothesis that QBs regress under Pep Hamilton's tutelage has, I think, been disproven by Patterson. He's undoubtedly improved.

What's scary is that I think this offense could be much better by the end of the season yet. Especially with a functional Nordin and Tarik Black. And if Patterson comes back next year . . .

Damn this is fun.
