I've learned the hard way that when you doubt coaches who have established track records you end up looking like an idiot. I was part of the group that reached its breaking point with Beilein after the OSU game in Feb. Then he responded with a Big Ten Tournament championship, sweet 16 and recruiting seems to be going great.
Everyone on here wrote off MSU, Dantonio was done, he was never good to begin etc, etc, etc. Idiots like Valenti argued they would be better off getting rid of him and hiring an up and comer. And now they are looking at a solid year.
To another extreme example, people wrote off Belichick (and Brady) after they got smoked by KC a few years back to fall to 2-2. They were done. And since then they've added two more rings.
I know sports fans are spoiled children who throw tantrums when they don't get what they want. However, there is a difference between being frustrated and wanting to discuss ways the team can improve and just trying to burn it all down. Harbaugh's year 3 isn't as good as other new coaches? Well he took over a much worse roster than most of them and his years 1 and 2 were better. So it works both ways.
All I know is that if Michigan football were a stock I would be buying in large quantities. As long as this fan base doesn't make things so toxic Harbaugh decides to leave the future is going to be just fine even though the present sucks.
