I think we do.
Reason being it hurts Ohio State. I mean if Texas is strong again, Ohio State will not be able to get as many elite recruits from Texas. Likewise if USC is strong again, they will not be able to get as many from California and same from Florida for FSU.
Do you think it would take down OSU a bit in recruiting if these programs become great again.
I know you could say it also hurts us, but it seems only Ohio State is the only northern school to get significant amounts of high 4* and 5* recruits they otherwise would go to FSU, Texas, and USC if those programs were strong.
Then it could go back to both OSU and us recruiting mostly regionally and battling it out for big 2 and little 12 and we could go 50-50 with OSU and go to CFP every other year (Assuming we get great coaching as well). SO what if we get blown out in CFP by FSU, USC, Bama, Clemson, or Texas with the better talent down there.
I would be ecstatic to go 50-50 with OSU and win Big Ten with 12-1 seasons every other year even with a beat down to one of those schools in CFP.
