Do we really want a good chance to beat OSU? Bye week is perfect time for Coaching Staff to step up

Ruddock has done an excellent job of doing all the coaches have asked of him, to be a good "game manager" and not turn the ball over (unless you count the three and outs). With our defense and special teams play, we'll beat most of the remaining teams on our schedule. But, is that good enough? Do we really want to settle at this point for just a nice, stop gap type season ... or try still to go for a longshot B1G Championship?

Our offense is too limited, the better defenses we will face will have no problems with it. The two weeks off is the perfect time to make the change to try and open our offense to give us a fighting chance against OSU, and possibly a good bowl opponent. I'm not saying who to replace Ruddock with, but just hoping we don't stay with the status quo ... I really don't see a huge risk in doing it now. I'd rather us try to take the next step now to be really good in all three phases of the game ... they've worked to hard and come to far to settle at this point.

Bottom line: the team has played well above its punching weight this year, and the staff has done amazingly well with what it has in its first year.

Christ, I want Harbaugh to throw in Morris in for a quarter if only to shut the "what about our other qb's?" crowd.

Morris has a redshirt on because he needs the maturing, I don't think he sees the field nor do we need him.

Agreed and O'Korn will be the QB for the next two years. Absolute rifle for an arm and is mobile as well.
Remains to be seen...this is a coach that loves competition, doesn't just hand it to the next dude in line. I want to see how they all compete, we have lots of gun slingers on and coming on to the roster.

I can only imagine the comments and criticism of so many if Rudock is replaced and we end up w another crapper like we did w Belomy and Ne.

It's going to be very interesting to see how this staff comes out of having these two weeks around the bye to evaluate where we are, what if any differences (particularly offense personnel and approaches) they choose to implement ... and resultant possibilities to take the next steps ... this season.

I'm very optimistic about it with this staff.

That's simply not going to happen, Rudock keeps playing and if he's hurt it may be a toss up at this point whether Speight or Morris plays. Harbaugh does not waste redshirts the way Hoke indiscriminately did
