COLUMBUS — Ohio State university officials confirm that defensive lineman Adolphus Washington was cited Wednesday evening by City of Columbus police with a first-degree misdemeanor charge of solicitation.

Ohio State Athletics Communications Spokesperson Jerry Emig said Washington is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 17.

"Disciplinary action will be handled internally," Emig said.

Emig said Coach Urban Meyer is "currently on the road recruiting and he'll address discipline once he's back off the road."
