Just to put things in perspective regarding DT recruiting, in the 2021 class the (13) other Big 10 schools signed a total of (12) DT's with five of the schools . . . Illinois, Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue & Penn State . . not signing a single one. Of those schools who did sign at least one, only two schools signed a player with a rating over 5.6. That would be Maryland and, of course, Ohio State. When you examine Michigan's (3) DT signees (5.9/5.8/5.5), I'd say that we did pretty well in an area where there seems to be quite a void of talent.
