I completely stepped away from Michigan football in the off season. From about signing day up until a few days ago, I've only picked up a thing or two from conversations with others, so I feel out of the loop.
Before the game, I would have thought my biggest concern would have been at cornerback but instead it was the defensive tackles. I know some people have asked about Hinton and Smith. They are obviously backups right now and if you don't hear their names a lot that doesn't necessarily mean they played bad. So, what is the impression on the board about the position and those two guys in particular?
Are they good but not ready to be starters? Are they maybe not what we expected? Is there just something else going on (COVID, injury, etc.)?
