Looked like a "26 seconds" Mattison defense last night.Simply put
HAAAA! I see ChicagoBlue is still running with the "Mattison Sucks" schtick for three years now. Mattison. Accolades include: Spent years leading one of the top defenses in the NFL, now an integral part of coaching staff of the #1 NCAA defense in the entire country, hand-picked for current position by Jim Harbaugh (who apparently knows waaaaay less that some internet poster in Chicago about coaching college football). Chicago -- just an observation. Google is your friend. There are 128 FBS schools with 128 defensive units. Michigan's defense is #1 out of 128. When Mattison was the DC, Michigan was NEVER ranked out of the top 10 in defenses nationally. Again, Google = friend. You may want to look some of this stuff up before posting on here and exposing yourself as a complete uninformed fool. Repeat after me: Research first, type second. Research first, type second. Research first, type second....... The entertainment value you provide through the combination of your total lack of knowledge of the game coupled with your propensity to post material you know nothing about in bunches is off the charts though. Keep posting, and we will keep reading and laughing hysterically.Looked like a "26 seconds" Mattison defense last night.
I'm not sure what the "26 seconds Mattison" reference is for, but I thought Mattison was a mixed blessing. His defenses were much tougher than RR (but whose aren't?) and they definitely improved in terms of statistics, however they also consistently could not finish out games (e.g. PSU a couple years ago) and there were games where they couldn't stop anyone (OSU 2 years ago, Indiana a couple years ago, etc.)HAAAA! Don't you dare imply that "26 seconds" Mattison isn't the best DC in history. Certain stupid people will freak out. Some people think that the stats tell the whole story and apparently don't watch the actual games.I'm not sure what the "26 seconds Mattison" reference is for, but I thought Mattison was a mixed blessing. Some of the Michigan insiders I've listened to this fall think he's a better position coach than coordinator.Don't you dare imply that "26 seconds" Mattison isn't the best DC in history. Certainly he was an improvement over the RR train wreck, but as you mentioned, couldn't stop Indiana, held TUOS to 42 two years in a row, and let a freshman QB drive down the field for a tying TD in 26 seconds against PSU. Teams constantly scored at the end of the half or the game against Mattison defenses, and he loved to play the corners 10 yards off the ball. But naples has a ghey crush on GM, so watch what you say.
