watching this NFL game between Saints & Panthers, it’s clear. Defense is what matters. Rams, Saints, you name it. Always struggle against a great D.

By all accounts, we had a great D this year. We didn’t need to score 50 to win. The best D in the country should have slowed down the top O in the country. They didn’t. But, that’s not the norm.

With this D, we only needed to score 30 points a game (or less) to go undefeated. Limit their possessions, slow the game down, and control the time of possession. It worked every single game except the first game of the year, and the last. But, nothing leading up to OSU gave us any inclination we couldn’t shut them down nor move the ball against them all day long like everyone else did. Our D let us down. We had a bad day.

But, let’s stop with the offense is prehistoric. Play to your strengths. And we did that all year. And that was the right strategy.
