Here we are at day 4!

I played in a golf tournament today with a Texas Tech grad & a Nebraska grad. Good conversations about college sports. It was cordial as we just met today. Probably hit 102 heat index before we walked off the course around 1230. Makes for a long day!

Continuing on the conference rankings theme this week.

Who wins the ACC Coastal? Who wins the ACC Atlantic? Who wins the ACC Championship Game and do they make the CFP? We will get into CFP discussions later.

Three pre-season ranked teams in the Atlantic division, #4 Clemson, #13 NC State, & #22 Wake Forest. Clemson is the sexy pick and I will stick with the Tigers. NC State is a good dark horse, but they travel to Clemson. Clemson does travel to Notre Dame for a night game and will fall. They will have enough of a cushion in the division even with not taking care of business.

The Coastal is a bit of a toss up. Miami is the heavy favorite, but they travel to Clemson in a cross over. UNC plays both at Wake & finishes vs NC State for very tough cross over games. Pitt has probably the toughest road schedule in the division traveling to UNC, Miami, & Louisville. I think Pitt and former USC QB Kedon Slovis will overcome the tough schedule and win this division.

Pitt & Clemson do not play during the regular season and I think Pitt wins the ACC Championship as DJ Uiagalelei struggles against the pressure of the front four of Pitt. Clemson has more talent, but Clovis will out play him in that game.

Pitt does not have enough quality wins to make the CFP and removes what I think would be an outside shot for Clemson to make the CFP if they were able to beat Pitt. They would need help.
