Those of you out there who remember 1997...do you have the same feeling after last Saturday's romp over BYU that you had after the 27-3 dismantling of Colorado? I do. Surprise, elation, and high hope!!

as memory serves, the Colorado victory was in Boulder. Folks were still talking about the dismantling when I visited for the Texas game several weeks later. You always wonder how good the other team was. I think BYU was tired last week; I don't remember the particulars of the Buffs team. I also think that by the end of October will be the telling time for UM's 2015 team.

The CU game was in Ann Arbor --- 12 Noon game on ABC as U-M's season opener in Week Three (very bizarre, Michigan didn't even play a game in 1997 until week THREE of the season).

CU finished 1997 as a disappointing 5-6.
