I hadn't seen this mentioned yet, but I thought it was kind of cool early in the 2nd half when Smith got knocked down on a shot attempt, Howard runs a few steps out on the court to help him up. You could tell by how the bench, including the other coaches, reacted that it was something they noticed. Kind of livened them up. Even the official smiled. The commentators said something about the enthusiasm being contagious.
Howard so far seems to know how to walk that line between basketball coach and basketball peer just right. No big deal, just thought it was kind of cool to see.
