I was able to watch our 2019 commit Charles Thomas last night. IMG came to play Hoover Alabama last night. First I will say that anyone that schedules IMG on their schedule needs their heads examined. Hoover been a powerhouse in 7A for many years in Alabama. Most years they are nationally ranked. Unfortunately not this year. They have sent a lot of kids to play college ball the last two years. They don't have the talent to compete at that level. I heard IMG has 24 players committed to play college ball.
Now to Mr. Thomas. He is listed on Rivals at 6' and 218 lbs. He is probably close to those measurable but I didn't stand next to him. He passes the eye test. He is a Devin Bush looking player. Built like a brick Sxxt House. Maybe not as fast but a great hitter. He drops very well in coverage. He seems to have that great sense when to attack. His highlight play came when he dropped into a middle zone and just reached up two handed and snared a dart out of the air. Looked like a Jabrill punt catch. He proceeded to cut outside and was off to the races. He was caught from behind after about 60 yards by a wide receiver committed to Auburn at the two.
Bottom line he looks the part of a major D-1 player. He is a don't lose this kid type. The big tackle that is from Aussie land is just a monster. He just towers over everyone. 6-9 395 lbs was his listing. I think IMG's line must have averaged 340 lbs. Noah Cain the RB is everything you want. He is powerful, very fast and is a plant your foot and gone type back.
