So I am listening to the start of the Maryland vs Randolph Macon basketball game last night . The Randolph Macon coach Josh Merkel is being interviewed and is asked where he learned the most about his coaching style from .....
" Without a doubt John Beilein ". He went on to say in the one year he was a Grad Asst . to JB at WVU , he just could not believe how much JB knew about offense and how he was so far ahead of everyone else he has come across in basketball . He just could not say enough good things about JB , what a class guy and great coach he was , and how he himself is trying to pattern himself the same way . I sat there and was so impressed to hear this young coach throw compliment after compliment at our coach . It truly says alot about what a good coach and man we have leading Michigan .
