John O'Korn. The thing that sticks out the most to me is how much more of an athlete and natural throwing motion this kid has. That and how decisive he was, and then how beautifully he leads his receivers - accuracy what a concept for a top-ranked team to have at QB.
I just love the way he throws the ball, and I love that he decisively threw the ball to the right guy to move the chains. And putting the ball in the end zone...amen hallelujah.
Defense holy shit. 10 yards in the second half. I loved this win for exactly the reason Harbaugh mentioned - team can play into the late rounds, but yesterday delivered the knockout.
Yes it's just Purdue, but for a young team on the road with backup QB, these guys showed how well-coached they really are.
They can build on a game like this and now have two weeks with OKorn getting all the reps, dudes getting rested and fired up for a night game at home against a sparty team staring down the barrel of 2-3 (0-2) - yes I think they lose to iowa at home.
