The rub is on the corned beef - new wrinkle is a small amount of dijon mustard and a mop that we will make tomorrow morning, and I will use pecan wood for the smoke which will be extremely light.
Smoker gets fired up at 0600 hours for a 3pm late lunch with some nice lagers.
The missus is making chicken soup tonight - I'll be making my world famous clam dip as an accompaniment.
Sushi dinner and then we starve ourselves until a standing rib roast with Yorkshire pudding and all the fixens for Christmas dinner.
It's been a tough year for the clan - but we will rally in 2019, the horizons are bright in every direction.
