A close friend of mine was at an event over the weekend and met Eli Brooks. This is what he had to say to me over text. Nothing special, just nice stuff to hear about a young man coming into the program. My friend is the President and Publisher for the York Daily Record and their media source. Good man.
"I was hanging with Eli Brooks tonight at an event I was attending. Michigan basketball recruit coming out of one of the York County High Schools. Heck of a nice kid and a heck of a player. Blue will be glad to have him".
"He was wearing a Michigan tie and I was wearing one of my PSU ties. I went up to him and wished him best of luck and he said "even with that tie on"? I laughed pretty hard. We went on to have a nice conversation. He had something like 4000 points in his high school career".
I thanked my buddy and told him I was happy to hear he was a nice young man and that I thought all Michigan fans were pretty excited to have him.
Anyway, just thought I'd share a little feel good conversation for a Friday.
