Watched him play Monday in the DC Elite summer league. He had about 36 and actually impressed me with his play. Old Redford came back and beat a talented Pershing team. Watts had a 4 point play to put Old Redford up one with about 10 seconds left.
He looks like he grew a little and put on some good weight. Look quicker and even took it through to the hole a few times. He actually played a little D and put some effort into it that was nice to see. Had a couple of real plays were he set his teammates up for easy basket which he hasn't done a whole lot of at the games I've watched.
My question is has there been any talk of him plying at a different school next year. A person I know told me that Old Redford (charter school) will be closing. Last year his charter school Allen Academy played in the same summer league only for the team to break up after it was closed down at the start of the year.
Quick note: UofD Jesuit has 2 teams in the league and on their baby team little Morgan on it.
