Just able to watch now and thought I would share some quick things I am seeing so far:
- speed, speed, speed. Seeing a LOT more speed, Corum, Henning, Barrett, all look very fast.
- Barrett, WOW. He looks great. Way more dynamic so far than Hudson.
- No questioning Milton’s arm. He throws absolute darts. And his release looks a bit quicker to me as well.
- Welschof with some nice snaps, really fun seeing a lot of new guys out there
- Kind of an odd first half so a bit tough to gauge the offense, but Oline doing their job, guys look more dynamic than last year.
- Just an FYI, but Milton is faster than he shows most of the time. He had one play where he showed some very nice acceleration. Sneaky.
- just a few nitpicks, while I really like how active we are on D pre-snap, we show an overload much too early and Minny ran plays away from it quite often with success. I sure would like to see us balance the field a bit more.
- we really have kept LB and safeties tight to the LOS. Against better teams we might be playing with Fire.
- Van Sumeran looks the part, he looks quick, but seemed lost on where to go. A couple of times seemed to me like his depth wasn’t very good and it opened up passing lanes.
- Very concerned about the corners, not only in coverage, but in run support. Feel like this will be something we deal with all season.
Have to be happy overall though. We look like we are building some team speed, much more so than recent years.
we also have some nice big bodies. Kemp coming back was huge. He is a very nice ball player.
