Thinking now that I would favor a pro baseball design in bball. Guys
that have no interest in going to college can go straight out of high school. Those who want to experience college have to commit for more than a year.

Shocks me that the D-League payroll is so low. Seems as if the NBA
could prop that up a little more. It's under 200k for the whole team I believe....seems like you could park a kid in the D-League at a more reasonable salary and allow them to come up for like 2 10 day contracts their "rookie" season, and then the 2nd year they are able to play the whole thing.
But, at under 200k total salary cap, that isn't happening.
The D-league would grow tremendously if there were 6-8 18/19yr old studs in it each year.
