Can someone enlighten me on the Free Press... why is EVERY article negative when it comes to Michigan football?

I don't live in Michigan and don't know if there's a back story, but I swear every article takes a shot at Michigan in some shape or form. Orion Sang writes an article about Michigan's recruiting day and the entire thing focuses on the lack of impact defensive recruits, outside of Colson. The Rainer Sabin guy is literally a troll that tries to get under Harbaugh's skin at press conferences and never has a positive thing to say. We just buried Michigan State in the recruiting game yet you would think yesterday was a recruiting disaster for us. This is baffling to me given it's the closest major newspaper to Ann Arbor yet every writer seems to have an axe to grind. It's like night and day when compared to the Columbus Dispatch, which is filled with a bunch of Buckeye slappies. Any writer that went after Ohio State the way the FREEP goes after Michigan would have been run out of town a long time ago.

So what happened? Is there a back story I'm missing that created this? Is the company leader a Sparty grad? Do they only hire Sparty grads as writers/editors? Did Michigan give them limited access?

Any insight would be appreciated.
