I saw that Najee Harris was wearing the “SEC Graduate” emblem on his jersey tonight. I looked back and saw that it was the recruiting class of 2017 when Harris went close to the wire in choosing Alabama over Michigan. It’s great to see that he’s got his degree before heading to the NFL. But it sure doesn’t seem that long ago that everyone here was on tender hooks awaiting his commitment.
As good a running back as he is, it’s good to see he stuck with ‘Bama a full four years until he got his degree. That class at Alabama was terrific. Their great receiver, Davonta Smith is another four-year player from that class. They could both be NFL first-rounders.
Another four-year player from that 2017 Alabama class is the QB, Mack Jones, also a ‘Bama graduate. He was described tonight as a possible Heisman candidate. I don’t know about that, but he’s doggone good. I took a quick look at the rest of that recruiting class and saw eleven other seniors, from that 2017 recruiting class, playing tonight.
How many of Michigan’s 2017 recruiting class were still playing this season?
