And his wife, Sarah, are donating any bonus money earned from this season to help out anyone in the UM athletic department who had to endure pay cuts due to the virus. What many don't know, however, that to date the total of that "donation" exceeds $2,000,000.00. Considering the times in which we live and specifically the landscape in college athletics which is littered with money grabbing egomaniacs a. k. a. coaches, I personally find the Harbaughs' gesture as good or better than any on-field story from the past season. People can call him quirky . . or weird . . or aloof . . and that's fine. And it also can be said that until this season, his production has been disappointing. But I would defy anyone to find a college football coach who has his priorities in a better place than Jim Harbaugh.
