Bush Commits to Michigan

I did as well. I think Bush Jr. has a good shot at starting next year IF he puts on a few pounds. He is enrolling in school in January and will go through spring practice. Phenomenal athlete with speed and well coached in high school by his Dad. HUGE pickup for Michigan. I believe that Walker commits to UM tomorrow as well Why? because he has an instant shot at LOTS of playing time at the RB position. This is why Bush Jr. committed as well. In the end, Gary will also commit to Michigan. With everyone coming back and with O'Korn (in the system for a year already) Michigan will be ranked in the top 10 preseason and will push for the conference championship next year IF they can get out of Columbus with a win. In the end, a top 3 recruiting class for Harbaugh in his first real year is incredible.

and i thought Bush was the least likely of those 3!

Gotta disagree with him being the least likely. With M STARVING for linebackers PT was staring Bush in the face big & bright. Now when it comes to D-line or R.B.'s, Bama has been a damn pipeline to the NFL for a stretch now. Add that to the Hardware they've accumulated recently & battling the Tide for services of Walker & Gary are gonna be hard pulls. Hope I'm wrong!

Let's also hope Walker has faith that we'll get an O-line in here that is worth a damn. THAT is what I'd be afraid of as a RB with aspirations!

Alabama did offer Bush Jr. Kirby Smart leaving did not help the Tide in this. I do agree about Kareem Walker though. Alabama has had TWO Heisman trophy RB's within 6 years!!! Incredible. This looks great for a high school kid. Their DL is also plastered with future NFL picks, BUT-Smart leaving is a huge deal. Yes, Durkin left, but he is NOT Kirby Smart and Pruitt coming in has an attitude problem.

The two priorities...linebackers (speed/toughness) and running backs (elusiveness).

One down...more to go.

Here we go..........It was a conspiracy all along. Please..........

I have no issues with how this recruitment or any other recruitment was done. There are rules and laws and as long as you don't pay kids or their parents, and you stay within the rules why not utilize them to the max? Great coaches like Saban, Bellicheck, etc all do it so why disadvantage yourself. And don't even get me started about how saintly ND is - the ND coach is a buffoon that has his players getting into all sorts of crap.

Getting instant PT is a big deal for a lot of kids nowdays. Having said that though, Walker to Bama could be really interesting for him since they are a RB factory right now. Every RB that goes there becomes an instant stud. To think that both Ty Isaac and Green were ranked way ahead of Henry...isn't that insane??? The only negative against Bama would be that Walker would have a lot of very good competition and may not get PT until his soph or Jr. year so he would need to be patient. At Michigan, it's a virtual lock that he would start unless he was way overrated. The rest of our RBs are not great - Smith is a fantastic blocker but can't read holes at all. Green and Ty both are busts. Drake Johnson is a great 2nd string, change of pace type of back but not a starter.

I think all said and done, we will have a very studly class but we will also have a few surprise players not return next year because they are not going to cut it. I agree with what one of the beat writers said - we should be good next year (10 wins good) with 2017 as a toss up and 2018 is when if JH stays, we should be dominant.

Walker's announcement will be intriguing for sure. It wouldn't surprise me (for reasons you said) if he goes with Bama but it also wouldn't surprise me (for reasons you said) if he goes blue. You are spot on with your accounts of Smith, Green, Isaac & Johnson. UM seriously needs a game-breaker & from what I hear Walker could be that guy. We'll see. I think UM get's him, but who really knows. We'll find out tomorrow. Either way, Harbaugh WILL find a #1 running back come hell or high water! I'm not worried.

All that said, Harbaugh is on a mission & will finish this class strong. Probably top 3, if not #1. He's also on a mission to be way more than just "10 wins good" once in a while. He wants to DOMINATE College Football. Every Year. I, for one won't doubt that he can do it in time.

Regarding departures: There probably will be some. Always are. Those Who Stay Will Be Champions!

Go Blue!

FSU and ASU are more of a threat to Walker than Bama is. I still think he goes blue, but it's a heavyweight fight.
