Bugging me about post Hoke...

I read about it again in Hacketts interview. The kid gloves for Hoke...I don't get it. Yes he's a nice guy and so are thousands of others who got fired at their jobs last year. His staff w/the exception of of Mattison and Nussmeier barely got a sniff. The 'Ohio' mantra along with 'no excuses' but he gave the youth one plenty of times. First shutout in 30yrs, Minny, Utah at home, zip against OSU when Meyer was there, and so on. He gets a pass because he was a dline coach years back? I don't get it.
