Ohio just lost a great man last night. My father, a Buckeye fan, passed away last night. The greatest thing he ever taught was to follow my heart. As a kid, I was afraid to tell him I liked Michigan more. When he found out I was afraid to him, he sat me down. He told once I pick my team, I better love that team forever and with passion, no matter how good or bad they are. Then he told me that Michigan sucks and good luck. Most importantly, he gave his patented bear hug.
One of many life lessons I will pass on to my son- be passionate about your choices. But my 6 yr old son hopefully will never have a need to root for anyone else.
