Really glad to see Briles getting booted. I love college football but when you compromise the sport and let inhumane behavior be shoved aside because these athletes are "special" you deserve to get shown the door. The "win at all cost" had boundaries and I hope the NCAA cracks down on more and more of this. To me, Briles knowing about the domestic violence and sexual assault is no different then JoPa - both deserved to be fired!!!

I am just waiting to see what Saban does with his 2 starters that just got arrested - probably nothing because the SEC is perhaps the dirtiest conference out there.

No place is football for tolerance of athletes that think the law and rules don't apply to them.

Briles did deserve to be fired and I agree with you that Joe Pa deserved to go as well. BUT, the issues that caused the dismissal of Briles has been an issue with many many programs for a long time and it is not bound in one conference alone. How about JImbo Fisher at FSU and Mr. Heisman Jameis Winston? It all depends on the the overall leadership of the university and their moral code of ethics when it comes to athletics. The PSU issue was kept in the dark apparently for possibly 40 or more years in the name of preserving a great college football game and the name Paterno. It was so large that eventually it would come out and thank God it did. Their is NO WAY that Sandusky operated without suspicion and down right proof for all those years in that big of a program and SOMEONE not know about it enough to report it many years ago. More people should be going to prison around the PSU stuff for covering up. As far as Briles, apparently the leadership of Baylor made a decision no matter how far that program has come in the past few years. Rape is rape and criminal activity is criminal activity and NO university should cover that up for the sake of a "Program." The leadership at Baylor deserves a hero award in my book. The Brendan Gibbons and Taylor Lewan crap under Hoke was sickening a few years back. Harbaugh will have none of that. If you play at UM now under Harbaugh, no matter how good you are, you are GONE!!!! if you CHOOSE to do something stupid like that!!!! like TULLY did last year. Harbaugh is old school and chooses to teach young people accountability in their lives amidst a culture that does not anymore.
