Here are tonight's Blue Chips...
*** Michigan cornerbacks coach Michael Zordich had a video chat with three-star 2021 La Puente (Calif.) Bishop Amat cornerback Dyson McCutcheon. We haven't talked a ton about McCutcheon, but I did talk to him about his offer from Michigan about a month ago (here), and he remains a guy the Wolverines are actively recruiting. Right now, Washington is considered the leader, but Michigan is a contender. His father, Daylon, was on the call today as well. He played for the Browns and coached for the Jets.
*** Philadelphia (Pa.) Northeast cornerback Tyreek Chappell is still set to make his decision on July 4. Michigan was on him heavy, but I put in a FutureCast pick for Texas A&M a few weeks ago. So has anything changed? Unfortunately for Michigan, I'm going to say no. Recruiting can be funny sometimes, but I feel like it's time to move on. There is a ton of confidence in College State that he will side with the Aggies, and I remain confident in my pick for A&M.
*** Rivals250 Dallas (Texas) Kimball cornerback Ishmael Ibraheem was born in Detroit and talked about making an official visit to Michigan. However, I no longer see that happening. Ibraheem has set a commitment date for June 15, and I have my FutureCast pick in for Texas. I feel like he's a lock for a Longhorns and don't expect that to change. Time to take him off the board.
*** Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh recently had a video chat with elite 2022 Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic cornerback Jaeden Gould. While Michigan no longer has the Anthony Campanile tie at Berrgen Catholic, the Wolverines are going to continue to hit the school hard and are making Gould a top priority for next cycle. He has visited Michigan on multiple occasions and has high interest.
