Here are tonight's Blue Chips...

*** There was some more buzz last week that Rivals250 Jersey City (N.J.) Peter's Prep defensive tackle George Rooks was looking to make a decision over the weekend. I didn't even mention it on the board (thank you for not bringing it up) because, quite frankly, I didn't believe it. The weekend has come and gone and Rooks remains uncommitted. Look, I think this one is going to continue to drag out. With both Michigan and Penn State struggling on the field, Rooks is fine continuing to weigh his options. His high school season won't end until the end of the month, so the earliest I'm expecting an announcement from him is December. Boston College and Pitt remain in the mix.

*** Apparently there was some buzz elsewhere that Rivals100 Needham (Mass.) St. Sebastian's tight end Louis Hansen was wavering. I'm not exactly sure where that came from, but Hansen is completely locked in with the Wolverines. He's so solid that I don't even think a coaching change would cause him to jump ship. In fact, I caught up with Hansen's father, Michael, and he told me that the family loves Michigan and still believes in the program. The Hansens will get their own personal look at U-M next week on a self-guided tour.

*** Rivals250 Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro defensive end Quintin Somerville is in the middle of his season and did not make it to Michigan this weekend either. However, like Hansen, there is nothing to worry about here. Somerville actually reached out to me about my tweet on Domani Jackson and Will Johnson and told me that they 2021 commits were excited about both and that they felt like they 'pulled out all the cards' for them. Somerville has a great relationship with Michigan defensive line coach Shaun Nua and is still on track to enroll early.
