*** Michigan picked up a commitment from three-star 2022 running back CJ Stokes last month. Initially, it looked like the Wolverines were only going to take one back this cycle. However, Michigan is back in contact with three-star Pike Road (Ala.) High prospect Quinshon Judkins. Michigan assistant Jay Harbaugh offered him early in the process, while Mike Hart re-offered shortly after arriving in Ann Arbor. Michigan made Judkins' Top 7 earlier this offseason, but contact faded this summer. Now, Michigan wants to make another run at Judkins. So where do the Wolverines stand?
*** I checked in with Judkins tonight and despite what has been a bit of a rollercoaster in terms of his recruitment with Michigan, Judkins still has love for the staff. Judkins is very interested in what Michigan has to offer and has a really good relationship with Jay Harbaugh. Hart will make his own push over the next few months. Judkins also told me that Michigan will likely get an official visit this fall. Right now, he's working to find the best Michigan game to attend that will work with his high school season schedule. Judkins has a fall OV set with Notre Dame and is also very high on Auburn, Florida and Ole Miss.
*** All has been pretty quiet when it comes to Rivals250 Suffolk (Va.) Nansemond running back George Pettaway, who made an official visit to Michigan last month. Right now, it appears that North Carolina is the safest pick in his recruitment. Florida is also high on his mind. With Penn State taking two backs, the Nittany Lions are likely out on both Pettaway and Judkins, who also had PSU in his top group. Michigan will continue to recruit Petttaway hard, but I haven't heard anything that gives me a lot of optimism.
