*** Rivals100 Needham (Mass.) St. Sebastian's tight end and Michigan commit Louis Hansen will not be able to make it for this weekend's big event. Hansen has a 7v7 game with his school and doesn't want to miss it. He will instead make a trip with his family on Thanksgiving weekend. Hansen's father told me that they have booked their tickets and will arrive in Ann Arbor on Nov. 27. This will be Hansen's first visit to Michigan this calendar year. He was last on campus in summer of 2019.
*** As you all should know, it's the dead period, so Hansen will not be able to meet with the coaching staff. He will, however, get to tour the campus and explore Ann Arbor. Hansen keeps in touch with tight ends coach Sherrone Moore and area recruiter Don Brown and is still completely locked in with the Wolverines. Schools like Boston College, Notre Dame and Penn State have reached out as of late, but Hansen is happy with his decision. Hansen has the credits to be an early enrollee but is still working out the situation with his high school.
*** Sticking with New England, I caught up with 2022 Rivals250 Michigan commit Tyler Martin and his father earlier tonight. They are both super pumped up to get back to Ann Arbor this weekend. They are set to arrive on Friday night and will take part in the festivities with the 2021 commits on Saturday. Martin also told me he's ready to put his recruiting hat on this weekend and give his best pitch to 2022 targets like Will Johnson and Domani Jackson. He definitely wants to be a vocal leader for the Wolverines next cycle. I will have a full story with Martin tomorrow morning.
