Here are tonight's Blue Chips...

Here are tonight's Blue Chips...

*** Five-star Cordova (Tenn.) St. Benedict defensive tackle Walter Nolen made another cut today, releasing a Top 8. Nolen is quickly narrowing his options and setting up official visits. I would expect Nolen to make his trips in the summer and come to a decision soon after. Michigan, of course, made the cut. The Wolverines impressed Nolen and his family on their self-guided tour last weekend and will host host him for an official visit on June 18. Michigan is definitely a possible landing spot. Alabama and Ohio State are two others at the top with Florida and Georgia starting to surge. Fellow SEC program LSU is also looking to make a run. Overall, I really like Michigan as a dark horse.

*** I mentioned last night that I expected Michigan to make the top schools list for three-star Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Stranahan linebacker Omar Graham. Today, Graham released a final six of Auburn, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State and UCF. It will be interesting to see how hard FSU and Miami push. Auburn is definitely prioritizing him and is set to host him for a summer official visit. Graham is very much open to leaving the region, though, and also has summer OVs set with both Michigan (June 18) and Penn State. Graham is clicking with U-M linebackers coach and Florida native George Helow and loves the linebacker production in Ann Arbor.

*** Michigan made the Top 10 for three-star Orlando (Fla.) Bishop Moore wide receiver CJ Smith. The Wolverines recently offered Smith but are quickly working their way up the list. Smith runs in the 10.5s in the 100m, and that blazing speed has offensive coordinator Josh Gattis ramping up his pursuit. The 'speed in space' concept also has Smith intrigued by the Wolverines. Right now, Arkansas and South Carolina seem to be the favorites, but there is definitely room for Michigan to establish itself as a true player here.

*** Let's say happy trails to some recruits. Rivals250 Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County linebacker Jaron Willis did not name Michigan in his final six. Three-star Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy offensive tackle Aliou Bah did not name Michigan in his top schools. Rivals250 Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy defensive tackle Nick James also left Michigan off of his top schools.
