Here are tonight's Blue Chips...
*** I am supposed to get a full interview with Rivals250 cornerback Darion Green-Warren later tonight, but early returns are very positive. If Green-Warren leaves the West Coast, I fully believe Michigan will be the landing spot. The Wolverines really knocked it out of the park with him this weekend and answered all of his questions. Still, Green-Warren is looking for a reason to stay closer to home, and I feel like USC is the safe pick. However, DGW has a lot to think about over these next two weeks. It will be interesting if he goes with his heart or his head.
*** I have reason to believe Michigan has pulled even with Stanford for three-star Virginia offensive tackle James Pogorelc. If I could, I would change my FutureCast pick to foggy. I've mentioned over the last couple of weeks that I felt like Michigan was gaining steam in this one, especially after his November unofficial visit. This weekend only helped Michigan. Stanford is looking to get Pogorelc in for an official visit in January and if that happens, it could very well swing the momentum back in its favor. But right now, it's 50/50.
*** I know everybody wants to know about Rivals100 quarterback CJ Stroud. Trust me, I'm working to get him on the phone as soon as possible. He just landed back in California a couple of hours ago and is getting settled in at home. Michigan gave him a lot to think about coming out of the visit, and I don't think his trip to A2 could have gone any better. He enjoyed getting an in-depth look at the program, and the Wolverines did a great job of rolling out the red carpet for him and his family. I think Michigan has gone from outside looking in to legit contender.
