Here are tonight's Blue Chips...
*** The chaos of the last 48 hours or so hasn't stopped Michigan from recruiting hard on the trail. Michigan offensive line coach Ed Warinner spent half an hour on the phone with Rivals100 offensive lineman Drew Kendall on Monday. I'm told the conversation went extremely well and that a number of topics were covered. As I previously reported, Warinner had a positive call with Kendall's parents late last week.
*** Kendall and his family are currently on vacation, so I think the fact that Kendall and Warinner are still talking at length speaks volumes. Kendall's father is also supposed to get back on the phone with Warinner at some point in the next couple of days. This could be the perfect time for Kendall to commit. He could put the recruiting process behind him and enjoy his time away. Warinner and Michigan are definitely pushing for it.
*** I'm told that Michigan feels like Kendall could be really close to making the final call. Of course, we've been through this rodeo before. Kendall has continuously pushed back his commitment timeline. With that said, Rocco Spindler is off the board, and everything has lined up for Kendall to finally shut things down. He loves the program, loves the staff and has a bond with the New England players and commits.
