Here are tonight's Blue Chips...
*** Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is slated to have a call with 2021 Rivals250 Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy offensive lineman Greg Crippen tomorrow. I have my FutureCast pick in for the Wolverines and have reason to believe Harbaugh is going to make a very strong push for Crippen tomorrow. He is the No. 1 center on the recruiting board, and a guy the Wolverines would love to lock up soon. I fully believe Crippen would have pulled the trigger over the weekend had he made his scheduled visit, which was obviously canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
*** Four-star Hutto (Texas) High defensive end Landyn Watson named Michigan in his Top 13 today. Obviously, this is a pretty lengthy list, but Watson has legitimate interest in the Wolverines. Remember, he was set to make a trip to Ann Arbor on March 21 before the coronavirus pandemic shut everything down. Watson has been keeping in contact with UM defensive line coach Shaun Nua and still wants to visit. Watson, a former LSU commit, is a strong candidate to leave the state of Texas and the south in general.
*** Rivals100 cornerback Sage Ryan named Michigan in his Top 10 today. The 2021 prospect from Lafayette (La.) Christian Academy has always maintained that Michigan is one of his more intriguing options. In fact, Michigan was the only non-southern school that made the list. Still, Ryan is going to be a tough pull. I have my FutureCast pick in for LSU because he’s an in-state kid with a ton of ties to that program. His cousin is former LSU running back Kevin Faulk, and his uncle is former LSU linebacker Trev Faulk.
*** Michigan did not make the Top 7 for Rivals100 Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei cornerback Jaylin Davies. This should come as no surprise. I just wrote last week that sources out west told me that Michigan was falling out of the mix for Davies. Michigan was also left off the top schools list for Rivals250 Alexandria (Va.) St. Stephens and St. Agnes wide receiver Malcolm Johnson, who is a guy the Wolverines were recruiting hard.
