I recently caught up with Keith Jones, father of four-star Michigan defensive back commit Kody Jones, to get his thoughts on meeting the Michigan staff and more.
On meeting the Michigan coaching staff in-person:
"It was great. I'm glad they came down to Memphis to meet us in person. You can only get so much from Zoom. To actually meet face-to-face was really great for us. It was exciting to meet Coach (Jim) Harbaugh. He seems like a genuine person. It was great to just meet the whole staff."
On Michigan continuing to make Jones a priority despite Mo Linguist leaving:
"That means a lot. We loved Coach Mo, but we also love the whole staff. They love Kody. They loved everything they saw on film and were able to see it in-person."
On Steve Clinkscale:
"I love Coach Clink. I'm glad I was able to meet him and talk to him. Coach Clink is a really cool dude. He really likes Kody. When he talks to you, he's going to keep it real with you and tell you the truth. He's kept it straight with us."
On their upcoming official visit:
"I just can't wait to get there. I've just been imagining how it's going to be. I think it's going to be straight (laughs). I'm just ready to get there and enjoy myself. We really want to see everything at Michigan since it's going to be our first time."
