Here are tonight's Blue Chips...

*** I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that Michigan was starting to gain some real traction with 2021 Rivals250 Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Cristian Dixon. So it should come as no surprise that Dixon named Michigan in his Final 8 this weekend. Dixon is very high on both LSU and Oregon, but it's not super clear where he stands on their board. Texas A&M is a real dark horse here. Cal and USC have moved up. Overall, Dixon is pretty open and wants to take his time. Both UM head coach Jim Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Josh Gattis have been heavily involved.

*** Michigan made the Top 11 for fast-rising 2021 Lafayette (La.) Comeaux athlete Malik Nabers. While his preference is to play wide receiver, Nabers is being recruited as more of a safety. New Michigan safeties coach Bob Shoop extended the offer and has been in contact. Nabers told me Michigan is a school he'd like to visit, but he's getting some big offers down South, and pulling him out of Louisiana will be very, very tough.

*** Boston College is still working on Rivals100 Needham (Mass.) St. Sebastian's tight end Louis Hansen. In fact, BC had Hansen at the very top of the board and has been hitting up the Hansen family non-stop. BC can't seem to get over the loss and is still throwing everything at the family. With all of this said, I'm not concerned. Hansen and his family love Michigan and are completely locked in with their commitment. The UM staff has been in constant contact over the last several days, including today.

*** Michigan did not make the Top 6 for Rivals100 tight end Moliki Motavao. I reported that he wasn't really going to be an option moving forward last week, so this was pretty expected. On a similar note, Michigan did not make the Top 5 for Rivals250 defensive end Jahvaree Ritzie. The Wolverines never created much traction there.
