Definitely a marginal call. But do we think it will make much difference?For Targeting, when he was clearly Shoved to the Ground bu the O lineman.
It put them in FG range so yes it made a huge difference. Either way, we need to step up - the third quarter this year is where Michigan has really struggled the most and where MSU just blows teams out - so something has to change in our favor. We just need to outscore MSU by 2 points in the next 30 minutes.
Marginal call my ass, total bull sh call, and we lost our best linebacker.... that makes a big difference!
It's not marginal when you're being held (#74) and then thrown on top of the QB. Should be 10-0 at the half.
They need to get rid of the targeting call if they can't figure out how to apply it. I'm ok protecting players, but it should be for blatantly bad hits. You keep seeing guys tossed because they hit someone hard, or because the offensive player ducked his head at the last second. Penalize a guy for a clear intent, but not this other crap that's going on.
