Agreed. Developing one more year would probably have helped. Leaves a spot for Gary and could seal the deal for getting him now since he has a immediate chance of sliding in

Some claimed he pulled a Hackenberg by mentioning his former coach, Hoke, and not mentioning the current head coach by name. Hackenberg never mentioned Franklin in his exit speech. I am sure it was an oversight.

Did he push Archie out of the way during his speech? Those are my favorite speeches.

When I read he consulted Clark over the matter I quit reading. Naturally he thanked Hoke because that's who recruited him, however, I'm sure he consulted Harbaugh as well. We are still stacked on the DL next year. Henry should have stayed though because he will be a very late rounder costing himself millions of dollars and possibly not being chosen at all. There are some very good DL declaring this year. Good luck to him though

He's probably about a third rounder, I'd have encouraged him to stay but I never begrudge a guy going after his dream. I get the feeling JH is the sort of coach that really goes to bat for his players which will only help Willie's visibility for the draft. All the best to him!
