No doubt about it. I still believe that Alabama is peaking right now and that has nothing to do with them being in the SEC. They are playing so well and especially on defense. If MSU beats Iowa tomorrow night then it will be interesting seeing those two teams play. I really don;t think Oklahoma or Clemson could beat either team. Clemson may not get past North Carolina tomorrow night. I saw Clemson play Notre Dame live this year and my God are they fast!!!!!!!

Ohio State
Michigan State
Iowa
Michigan
Northwestern
Wisconsin

Good year in and out of conference

I actually think it's too early to declare that - yes, the Big 10 has highly ranked teams, but frankly the Big 10 was helped by having very few cross-over games with the top teams from the other division. Between UM/MSU/OSU in the East and Iowa/NW/Wisc, the ONLY game was UM v. NW - that's pretty incredible (same as last year because it was a 2-year cycle)! How many losses would Iowa or NW have if they played MSU and OSU, and vice versa? Let's hope for another solid bowl performance from the Big 10 and another one like last year from the SEC.

There is no question the BIG is the best conference right now and has been since last year. It's a function of coaches. The BIG had 4 teams in the Top 10 up until the Michigan loss. 3 of the 5 top coaches (historically) coach BIG teams - Dantonio, Urban, Harbaugh. So yeah, the BIG is the better conference and not going to get worse anytime soon. The problem that BIG is going to have is that competition is going to start to get tougher. Northwestern performed really well. Ferentz was finally willing to adapt and the results have been great. I think Durkin will do very well at Maryland and make them a team that will have 1-2 upset wins each year. Penn State is recruiting very well, they just need a better coach. Urban and Dantonio have built a factory in their schools and they are not going to take major steps back anytime soon either. Michigan is only going to keep getting better as JH gets his players. It's a tough but fun conference.

Also, they are the top conference in basketball...we just destroyed the ACC in the ACC/BIG challenge.
