Furthermore, if he is a legitimate pro prospect, which could be determined by the same evaluators who give information to underclassmen, he will not be able to workout for teams by early spring prior to the draft. Giving him a 5th year, obviously with no guarantees of an injury free season this time, he gets to rehab and showcase himself on the field next year, increasing what is now probably a slim chance of getting drafted.
