I have seen a lot of members put their chips in the hat in favor of Tye Isaac being the best RB on this year's team. I am watching last week's game against Rutgers and also considering how the year has gone, and I am not sure why Higdon is not the consensus #1; at least among fans.
Isaac has ran well, but he puts the ball on the turf more often than he should, he doesn't run through contact well, and he is not as aggressive as you would expect a big athletic back like him would be.
Higdon has shown explosiveness, great vision, balance, and a passionate running style! He is a big back in a little backs body! He appears to be getting stronger as the year goes forward. A lot of it is OL play elevating, but Karan has been impressive.
There is a reason why he has been starting last couple weeks. Higdon is Michigan's best back right now.
